Shock Result on X-Factor!!

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

What happened on Sunday night?!!! Will it be another fix scandal!!

Seeing Katie in the bottom 2 each week is become the norm and each week she is saved by the judges but not this week!!
Although in the bottom 2 again, it was Aiden who pulled in the lowest votes by the viewers.

Aiden had been highly placed and seen as one of the better singers but having talent and being voted in by the public are 2 very different things.

Katie still does not seem to be liked by the public and the much rumored stories that circulate the press every day are not helping. But are they to be believed or is it another witch hunt like the previous year when people took a dislike to Danyl Johnson?

We like Katie and think she deserves to be in the competition!!

Take That performed together again as a 5 piece for the first time!! Their new single ‘The Flood’ hit the charts last week at number 2, but could not topple Rihanna who made it another week at number 1.

Robbie Williams said it was ‘magical to be back together again’. With their upcoming tour a huge sellout within hours, it is obvious fans are desperate to see them together again.

With only weeks left to go in the X-Factor, who do you think could win it? Maybe One Direction could be the first group to go all the way and win the X-Factor? Apart from Justin Bieber there is no-one else from that age around, so we think they could do it!!!

Who do you want to win? Do you think Katie deserves to be the the final 8? Let us know your comments!!

Another week at Number 1!!

Thursday, November 11th, 2010

Last week saw Rihanna’s ‘Only girl’ stay at the top spot for a 2nd week. Can she make it 3 weeks?

In the mid-week charts, waiting to take over is Take That’s ‘The Flood’ – a new entry this week and Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’ – which has been in the charts for 5 weeks.

Rihanna entered the charts 3 weeks ago with ‘Only girl’, at number 3 and since then has been at number 1. This is the first track of Rihanna’s latest album ‘Loud’ which is due to launch on November 15th.

Watch Only Girl (in the world) here.

In the album charts Cheryl Cole is sitting at Number 1 with ‘Messy Little Raindrops’. This is a new entry last week, but can she hold to it?

In the mid-week charts, Susan Boyle is sitting at Number 1 with her new album ‘The Gift’. After the amazing success of her first album ‘I Dreamed A Dream’, this new offering from Susan Boyle is set to be huge as well.

So who do you fancy for this weeks number 1? We think the reformed ‘Take That’ with Robbie Williams is set to be a massive hit in the singles chart and Susan Boyle is a definite for the album chart!!

The X-Factor is hotting up!!

Friday, October 29th, 2010

After another week with some amazing performances – who has the X-Factor for you?

Who has given the performance of the series so far?

After 3 weeks of live finals, you can now start to see the differences in the acts and see who is no more than a good karaoke singer and who is shining no matter what they sing.

Our favourites are the gorgeous Matt Cardle and the ‘Cheryl Cole mini-me’ Cher!!! Although if the star ratings on I-Tunes are to be believed, Cher is losing popularity.

Matt’s performance of ‘Britney Spears – Baby One More Time’ was amazing!! The original at the time was good – (don’t tell anyone we’re secret Britney fans!!!) but Matt’s version was incredible.

Another good performance was Cheryl Cole with her latest single ‘Promise This’. Watch her new single and video here.

On the show the previous week, Katy Perry with her new single ‘Firework’ was amazing!! With an upcoming tour literally sold out – she is getting bigger and bigger.

There are 11 finalists left in the show and there has been a big improvement in the quality of the singers.

Trayc Cohan has a big voice and gives good performances but just doesn’t seem to have the extra special factor. After spending a week in the sing offs last week, can she come back and give the voters what they want?

Katie Waissel’s version of ‘King of The Swingers’ was an odd choice but clearly won over some voters and shown a more fun side to her.

With only 2 groups left in the competition, can they be the 1st group to ever win? Both groups left in the competition are made up of the rejets from bootcamp – Belle Amie and One Direction.

As fun as Wagner may be and entertaining to watch, the quailty of the newly created over 28’s has been poor. Mary Byrne had a powerful voice but is she a recording artist that would sell?

With the 4th live show tomorrow – who do think is going home on Sunday?

Robbie and Gary together again!

Thursday, October 14th, 2010

After 15 years apart Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow have got back together again!!!! Hooray we scream – about time!!!

It’s been a long time and many people including us have been waiting for this moment to come!!

Gary and Robbie fell out around the time Robbie left Take That in 1995 but they seem to have resolved their differences in recent years. Many young girls were left devastated when Robbie left Take That.
Since the band split, Robbie Williams went onto enjoy huge solo sucess, with eight number one albums in the UK.
The remaining members split up a year later but reformed in 2005. Since then, they have had three number one singles and two sell-out tours. Take That’s album as a 4 piece, The Circus became the fastest selling album of the year in 2008.

Shame, co-written by the pair, came out on October 4th and will appear on Robbie’s greatest hits album, In And Out Of Consciousness.

Robbie Williams and Take That have also recorded a new album. All five singers have written the songs for the record, due out in November and rumored to be called ‘Progress’.

Mark Owen has been quoted saying “Getting the five of us to be in a room together, although always a dream, never actually seemed like becoming a reality. “Now the reality of the five of us making a record together feels like a dream. It’s been an absolute delight spending time with Rob again. But I’m still a better footballer.”

Now the fantastic 5 are back together, we can hope for more of the best from Take That. Although how long the band stay together as a five piece is still undecided.

Although ‘Shame’ has been eagarly awaited for by fans, it failed to hit the number 1 spot in the singles chart. Beaten to the top spot by Cee Lo Green’s ‘Forget You’.

Watch Gary and Robbie’s video for Shame here.

Snap, Crackle and Pop

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

Remember remember the 5th of November!! This is a day that many of us know as ‘bonfire night’ or ‘Guy Fawkes day’.

We celebrate Guy Fawkes Day – The anniversary of the famous Gunpowder Plot to remember the day a man called Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the House of Parliament and the king.
In celebration of the king surviving, King James ordered that the people of England should have a great bonfire on the night of 5th November. This is why we build big bonfire’s and burn a ‘guy’!!

Did you know?
- The first recorded fireworks in England were at the wedding of King Henry VII in 1486.
- The first fireworks were probably made in China, around 2,000 years ago and were called Chinese crackers.
- Three sparklers burning together generate the same heat as a blow-torch.
- The most difficult colour to create for a firework is blue.

Fireworks are not only for fireworks night. Many people have them to celebrate birthdays, weddings and festivals.
Fireworks are a great addition to any party or celebration or occasion.
Remember – fireworks are only for adults to use who know what they are doing, although fun they are extremely dangerous.

So with a bang, a whiz, a crackle and a pop we hope you enjoy your fireworks lots!!!

Shake Off The Financial Blues With Lower Prices!

Friday, September 10th, 2010

With most of us feeling the pinch and constantly being told tough times are ahead, you would be forgiven for wanting to celebrate anything at the moment. On the contrary, holding a party and celebrating life’s important milestones and special occasions is the perfect reason to shake off the financial blues and let your hair down with friends and family.

At DNA Mobile Discos we have always believed in offering superb service, brilliant mobile DJs and above all else… excellent value for money. This is why we have lowered our prices across the full range of our disco parties including – General Occasions, Weddings, Corporate Events and Teenage Parties by as much as £50.00! We have even reduced the cost of hosting your next Christmas Party.

Not content with that being enough to keep the nation partying in gloomy times, we have also lowered our additional cost per hour by a further £10.00. There really hasn’t been a better (or cheaper) time to hire a high-quality, professional DNA DJ and disco. Why not get a quote today and see how competitive we really are?

Cheryl Cole Goes Back To Work

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

Girls Aloud’s Cheryl Cole has started work on her new album while holidaying in LA.

After being forced to recover at her Surrey mansion from a bout of malaria, Chezza is now enjoying a well-earned break in the sunshine state of California.

Whilst officially being on holiday with her friend, dancer Derek Hough – Cheryl decided to seize the opportunity and started work on some brand new material while enjoying the sunshine.

A source reportedly told a well-known British tabloid: “Cheryl couldn’t sit around any longer. She feels 100 times better and wants to get some normality back.”

“She was going crazy sitting around at home. She wants a change of scenery so has decided to go to Los Angeles and get back into the studio.”

“But it’s still nowhere near the work schedule she had before she fell ill.”
